J’ai…Qui a… French Antonyms Activity Set 2 - I have…Who has This game includes 39 cards. Depending on class size you can give each student more than one card or have them play in small groups. I recommend printing out and laminating these cards if possible so that you can use them over and over again. How it works: Once each student has a card (or cards), the one who has the card that says Je commence le jeu begins the activity. He says, for example, Je commence le jeu. Qui a un antonyme pour gratuit? The person who has the card with J’ai payant on it says, J’ai payant. Qui a un antonyme pour visible? And so the game goes on until the last card is called and that student’s card will say, J’ai _____. Le jeu est terminé! These 30 questions are just right for students who need to practice the PRESENT SUBJUNCTIVE, and they are a perfect no prep speaking activity for busy teachers. Each EST-CE QUE question uses the TU form with verbs in the present subjunctive. In addition to regular and irregular -ER, -IR and -RE verbs I've also included many irregular verbs. In order to avoid OUI and NON answers, each question also includes an interrogative word which is great practice in helping to remember what they mean and where they're placed in the sentence. Since all of the questions are asked in the TU form, all of the answers will be in the first person singular. This is so that students can really focus and get used to using these verbs when talking about themselves and when talking to a friend. Just cut out the 30 cards, punch holes in the spaces provided and attach the stack of cards with a key ring. It would be a great idea to print on card stock and laminate the cards before punching holes and attaching them. Super easy and no prep for years to come. Both black and white and color versions are included as well as a 2 page print out of the questions if you should decide to use them as a quiz or homework assignment. I am a firm believer that repetition is key in learning a language, and that's why I've created many different versions of these speaking cards. All of the cards ask the same basic questions, but each time in a different tense. My students really appreciate the familiarity of the cards even when learning a new tense.

These 3 French definite and indefinite articles worksheets are best for students who have been studying French for a while, but who still struggle with understanding how and when to use definite as opposed to indefinite articles. These exercises will help students remember why we need to use articles and the reason why choosing the correct one is so important. The focus of these exercises is to choose correctly between definite and indefinite articles. Sometimes it is difficult when students don't know if the noun in question is masculine or feminine. That's why there is one worksheet that uses only masculine & singular nouns, another that uses only feminine & singular nouns, and one more that uses only plural nouns, masculine and feminine. French Adverb Exercises - La Formation des Adverbes et Les Adverbes de Manière These French adverb worksheets can also be used as a quizzes. There are 3 worksheets included with answer keys. Exercise 1: In the first section, students read a sentence and fill in the blank with the adverbial form of one of three adjectives they see in parentheses. In the second section, students transform adjectives they see in French to the adverbial form. In the third section, students must translate adverbs they see in English to French. I call this game “Jeopardy”, but it’s my own version that I’ve worked out the kinks on for the last 15 years of playing it with my students. This is not a Powerpoint presentation. You have to write out the game on your whiteboard. It’s not just like the game show on television, and the answers don’t have to be given in the form of a question, unless you want to. My students absolutely love this game, and so do I. They get very excited about it and look forward to Jeopardy day toward the end of every chapter. My French students always get confused when expressing durations of time. Christmas Scattergories Game This is a really fun activity to play before and after Christmas with your students as they practice and build their vocabulary. Scattergories is the perfect classroom group game! You can play this game with students of literally any age or level. All words are in English. Players attempt to create answers for each of the four categories on their game. This should be a fast moving game and there are only spaces for six words per category. The MAXIMUM they can write is six words so they have to choose them wisely. Students can be creative and flexible with their answers, but other players can challenge them! 12 games are included with different categories! You can either print out the game sheets or project them to save paper and ink.
